Karchi Perlmann
PRODUCER: Karchi Perlmann, a Hungarian born producer began his film career shortly after moving to the US in 1991, producing and directing commercials and music videos. In 1999 he formed Envisage Media Production to launch his first feature length film project, ROSE’S, which went on to become a festival favorite. It played in over 18 festivals, including such respected fests as Taos, Hampton’s, Cairo (Egypt) and Dances with Films -- winning Grand Jury Prize, Audience Choice, Best Actress, Best Cinematography and various other awards in its travels. After finding distribution, Rose’s opened commercially in theaters in 2001 under the title CONFESSION OF A FLORIST. Karchi followed
up with his second feature, DUET FOR ONE, in 2003. DUET was produced
as a fund raiser piece to benefit the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
The film was based on the highly successful ‘70s British play of the
same name. After completion Duet was also performed as a stage play
in Los Angeles for further fund raising. BROKE SKY marks Karchi’s
third outing as a feature film Producer. BROKE SKY is a collaborative
labor of love between veteran filmmakers in the making since 2002.
Karchi is currently working on his directorial debut “THE DINNER,”
which will be produced and photographed in his native country of Hungary.
